With a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, delivering 16.7 million colours in 16:9 widescreen picture format, and easy upgrade to digital TV by adding the DVB tuner module. Other features include HDMITM and DVI input for DVD player/receiver, computer video output, high speed graphics guaranteeing low response time - perfect for games, integrated AASC technology for flawless analogue tuner displays. LISTEN Not only do Harman Kardon Digital Lounge speakers offer powerful performance, they're not half bad to look at either! The loudspeakers have been designed to work optimally together to maintain a coherent sonic and visual signature across the entire entertainments system. The 10" powered subwoofer uses an efficient 200-watt amplifier to deliver more power with minimal distortion. Re-create the impact of a live-music performance with powerful bass resonance. This sleek and compact speaker system uses fan-free cooling technology in all system components. CONTROL The Harman Kardon Digital Lounge 540 is controlled by a player/receiver that is able to play CD's, DVD-audio and DVD video, as well as discs containing JPEG image files, DivX videos, MP3 or WMA audio files. The new high definition OSD is the heart of Harman Kardon Digital Lounge. Most functions can be controlled using only five buttons on the advanced backlit system remote control. The system also includes an additional smaller remote control, which operates everyday functions. The receivers display can be set to dim or shut down when no buttons are pressed, so that nothing distracts you from your TV viewing. In the event that this system is upgraded in the future, it will be possible to download firmware from the internet, which, if copied to a CD-R, you can insert into your Harman Kardon DVD player, and follow the online instructions to improve your current system. CONNECT Of course, the Harman Kardon Digital Lounge offers you more than just TV and DVD enjoyment - it can be used as a computer monitor and as a fantastic display for games consoles. Thanks to the 'plug & play' colour coded connectors, it couldn't be easier to install the system. The DVD player includes two USB inputs to connect to portable hard disks or thumb drives containing JPEG, MP3, WMA, AVI or MPEG music, movie or image files, to playback directly on the big screen. You can view each file/photo/track as a thumbnail on the high definition on-screen display, making it easy to browse and select tracks. Each USB port can also be connected to a USB hub, to which up to 16 portable hard disks can be connected.
